Exercise 1
Analyzing and understanding signatures takes many years of practice and experience. However, through the simple exercises and experiments, you’ll realize that there are some easy tips to pick up.

On a piece of paper, fill up the top half with sharp, angular lines.

On the bottom half, draw curvy big loops like these:

Did you realize that you tend to feel more aggressive and frustrated when you are filling the page with sharp, angular lines?
Look at the signatures of the people around you. You’ll find out that people who are bad tempered and flare up easily will have such lines in their signatures.

Divide a blank piece of paper into 2. On the top half, fill it up with crosses.

On the bottom half, do the exact opposite. Fill it with ticks.

Result: An experiment with 2 classes of kindergarten toddlers has shown that the class that routinely drew ticks performed much better than the class drawing crosses.

How can we incorporate this into our signature?

Tip: Avoid signing your signature downwards like this:

Instead, let it flow upwards like this:

Exercise 2
Cindy’s signature slants upwards while Edwin’s signature slopes downwards. Cindy and Edwin are assigned to a project and day after day, they work together, side by side.

How do you think their signature and behavior will change after months?

A. Cindy’s signature will start to slope downwards while Edwin’s signature will rise.
B. Edwin’s signature will slant upwards while Cindy’s signature will remain the same.
C. Cindy’s signature will start to slope downwards while Edwin’s signature will remain the same.

The answer is C.

It is easier to drag someone down than to push them up. If you are always hanging out with the negative people, you will gradually be influenced and affected by their negativity and get pulled down too.

Now you know you have to choose your friends carefully!
